The front door of our center stays locked during business hours. Families are issued a unique security code for entry, and every individual must enter their code themselves—no “piggybacking” is allowed. This ensures we always know who is coming and going from the building.
Only parents and pre-authorized adults may pick up a child, and each pickup requires proper ID verification. These strict procedures ensure your child is never released to anyone without your consent.
👩⚕️ Health & Wellness Standards
Keeping children healthy is just as important as keeping them secure. We follow state health guidelines and enforce strict illness policies:
- Children with fever, vomiting, pinkeye, strep, or other communicable illnesses are sent home immediately.
- A child must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours (and at least 36 hours from pickup if sent home sick) before returning
. - Immunization records, health statements, and screenings are required for all children to enroll and must be kept current
We also maintain a strict no-nit policy for head lice to protect all children and families.
🧽 Clean & Sanitized Environments
Our classrooms, nap mats, and toys are sanitized regularly. Bedding is stored separately and sent home weekly for washing. Teachers and staff follow hygiene practices like frequent handwashing, gloves for diapering, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces throughout the day.
🚑 Emergency Preparedness
Emergencies can happen, and we’re ready. We practice monthly fire drills and quarterly severe weather drills, and we have a full emergency relocation plan with a designated safe site at Aldersgate Methodist Church right here in Santa Fe.
In case of a medical emergency, staff are CPR and First Aid certified, and we keep parent emergency contacts and authorization forms with us at all times. Our priority is to notify parents immediately and ensure children receive prompt care.
